Estate Planning Attorney

Kellie Sellers

Kellie serves Ganek clients as an estate planning attorney and sees the core of that work as preventing unnecessary legal and emotional hardship by planning ahead.

Her approach is collaborative, and clients have said that she explains everything in a way they can understand so that they feel comfortable with their choices.  She says it’s important to her that they “have confidence they understand the reasons for their choices and that the plan they leave with actually accomplishes what matters to them.”

Estate planning is as much about helping clients during their life as it is about what happens after they pass away, she says.  She helps her clients plan for incapacity and other unforeseen circumstances through powers of attorney and healthcare directives. It’s important to her that families are prepared for these eventualities so they can focus on caring for one another instead of navigating legal complications.

Kellie is a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and Georgia State School of Law and serves as a part-time Associate Magistrate Judge for Hall County in addition to her work at Ganek. She lives in Flowery Branch, Georgia, and enjoys the small town feel it retains despite recent significant growth.

When she’s not working, Kellie loves to read and enjoys live music, outdoor festivals, and following UNC basketball.  Her service on the boards of non-profits reinforces her empathy for the community and the people she serves.
