Senior Attorney

Jeff Zweben

Jeff was born and raised in Atlanta and attended the University of Georgia before moving to Chicago as a young adult. While his loyalty is to the Bulldogs, his degrees came from Loyola University Chicago: a B.A. in political science and government and an M.B.A. in international business and management. He earned his J.D. from John Marshall law school in Chicago.

He practiced law before embarking on a series of entrepreneurial adventures during which he co-founded several successful online businesses, including JobsOnline and ConsumerBase. He served in a wide variety of crucial roles in these companies, including general counsel and executive vice president and carries what he learned about the value of trust and communication into his real estate practice.

Jeff loves handing over the keys to someone’s first home. It’s a happy occasion for the homeowner and he takes satisfaction in the fact that it’s good for the community too. Formative experiences during his time in Chicago brought home the foundational importance of having a roof over one’s head, as his habit of walking the city brought him into contact with the occasional homeless encampment. Talking with the people inhabiting these places, he realized they weren’t so different from him and how much more exposed they were to life’s vagaries and disasters.

When he came back to practicing law and returned to Atlanta in _____, real estate law felt like the right place to be. At Ganek, he represents buyers, sellers, lenders, developers, investors, and businesses in a variety of residential and commercial real estate transactions, as well as corporate/business formation and planning.

Outside the office, he supports Atlanta organizations like Grove Park Renew and West Side Future Fund that help legacy residents remain in their neighborhoods amid gentrification. He also enjoys time with his three daughters, walking Atlanta’s parks – Piedmont, Westside and Chastain especially – and enjoying a good meal with family and friends.
