Mike serves Ganek in the dual role of COO and Attorney, making him the firm’s secret weapon in the fight to provide consistently excellent client experiences and superior data security. He combines a 20-year tenure practicing real estate law with key skills in technology and operations to ensure the firm’s systems support smooth, worry-free closings.

A native of Mobile, Alabama, he grew up in Marietta, Georgia and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1996 with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. He attended Georgia State University College of Law, earning his J.D. in 2000. He began his career as a prosecutor in DeKalb County before transitioning to real estate law.

In 2010, Mike joined Ganek who was proud to gain an attorney with a strong reputation for being both client-focused and security-conscious. Along the road to conducting thousands of closings for the firm, he also spearheaded the transition to new closing software. His due diligence led to solutions and systems that have made all employees more efficient, freeing more of their time for providing the high-touch, superior client experience that keeps Ganek at the forefront of the industry.

Serving as a cornerstone in both operations and staff development, Mike is responsible for establishing efficient, client-centered processes that also protect Ganek’s clients from proliferating forms of financial and cyber fraud. He trains new attorneys, paralegals and staff, and mentors all employees, supporting them in creating a client-centered culture that provides fully secure transactions. In 2024, his COO title became official.

Mike lives near Piedmont Park and enjoys comedy shows, live music, sampling new restaurants and exploring Atlanta’s neighborhoods.
