Harry Minsk

Harry’s a graduate of UNC (1981) and UGA Law (1984). During law school he assisted the Clark County District Attorney on felony misdemeanor trials. He had no interest in real estate law, taking his first two jobs as a litigator. But when he was pulled from litigation by his firm in 1984 to help with a deluge of closing transactions, he realized that real estate law better suited his personality and preference for interacting with people and putting things together versus the adversarial nature of litigation.

Over the four decades since, he’s honed his real estate skills, learning the repercussions of ad hoc approaches and establishing highly efficient and reliable systems for ensuring smooth transactions. As technology has become more prevalent over the years, he’s noticed, so too has the risk of fraud, a topic he speaks on frequently. He and his team continually update their systems to respond to these risks – plus other legal and technological changes – all in their continuous commitment to protecting clients’ interests.

Harry’s ability to read the room and lead the transaction creates a closing experience that his clients say is much less stressful than they expected. He, his team’s attorneys and paralegals all stand behind their work and are always available to answer questions, before, during and after the deal is closed.

He began at Ganek in 1997 as the firm’s youngest lawyer and is proud today to be its oldest. The firm, he says, has kept him because both its heart and its work ethic have grown over the years. Ganek Gives Back is his brainchild, a program that gives clients a choice of five charities to which a portion of Ganek’s fee can be contributed.

He enjoys travel, reading – and recently picked up the electric guitar and began studying more in his religion. He and his wife live in Atlanta.
